Well, they did it to me again. They snuck in another romantic comedy. However, this is a whole new breed of romantic comedy. Much better than the usual type. This one might be a little harder to convince your girlfriend/spouse to watch since it is technically about “making a prono”.
It was a hilarious movie! I actually wish it would have been Zack & Miri’s High School Reunion. You know like Romy & Michelle’s, only much, much funnier. The reunion scenes may have been the funniest part of the movie. Although while preparing to shoot Star Whores in full costume was also laugh out loud funny.
Having two actual porn stars (well one former, and one current one) was a nice touch. Katie Morgan and Traci Lords played their roles well. As did the rest of the cast, none more so than Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks. They were prefect as best friends and then as a couple who have been in love their entire lives and didn’t realize it.
Craig Robinson was wonderful as the co-worker/friend/producer. I can’t wait to see Hot Tub Time Machine and hosting Last Comic Standing after seeing him outside of The Office.
Be sure to stick around when the credits start rolling, there is more movie in the middle.
You should definitely see this movie. Especially if you are a fan of Kevin Smith, Seth Rogen type movies/comedy, or a cute love story wrapped inside lots of comedy.
